@ponderable saidBump.
So after voting for topic and size we are ready to start.
The RHP Prose competition:
* Everybody may participate by sending a contribution of their own.
* Everybody can send up to three entries.
* each conrtibution may encompass 800 words (without title).
* You have four weeks time to create your piece(s). Submit before midnight (RHP time) of the 7th of May.
* Se ...[text shortened]... rsion.
The topic for which the majority of people voted is "Escape".
best of luck to everyone!

Traditionally we voted in one round. Last year someone sugestted we use a two round voting system. So I set up another poll:
A) is the traditional way, you give 5-3-1 to three favourite stories.
B) is the same only that after the first round of voting there is a second round for the first three placed (and any story with max. one vote less than the third.) In the second round it is one vote per person.
The result was two round voting, so the three top voted pieces (and any which are 1 vote behind the thrid will make it to a decisive round.
@indonesia-phil saidIf the vote is first in the thread it helps keeps thing neat and tidy.
I missed this, I don't mind at all how we vote, but is there some way such things can be made more obvious?
So I apologize to all who don't routinely follw the thread…
I am not really motivated to start new threads for each Detail, and I would like to have "floating"votings (that is a vote without a thread and stuck to the Forum, like the Blogs in "Chess only" I will make a formal Suggestion in the site Ideas thread.
@flopwrist saidIndeed this is why some voted for longer formats.
Story sent.
800 characters in a message goes by fast 🤔
Edit I misread the characters for words...🙁
@ponderable said800 characters?? I thought it was 800 words????
