@Torunn

It was interesting to learn of that new Swedish pronoun. It turns out that Chinese also has a genderless pronoun: 'ta' ('tamen' in the plural).

a hen is a chicken and not a gender pronoun.

some swedes are fools just like there are fools everywhere.
To us a hen is a chicken.

We have to understand there are lots of different Nationalities on this site, who have different ways for saying things.

The Swedes are in NO way fools, I've known many in my life and several of them ran businesses. They do have expressions I had to have explained to me, but so do other Nationalities.

To most of us here, 'hen' is not yet used much in everyday speach - it is good for official use when gender is unknown, or irrelevant or shouldn't be known for some reason.

Why did the hen cross the road.
To avoid getting into an argument with VR 😉

Little did the hen know, VR would also cross the road.

I'll submit it when it's done, not before. If I miss the deadline, c'est la vie.
Time remaining: one day and 43 minutes.

BTW, do you work in academia? I used to, and this thing about deadlines seems so familiar. 😉

"Ohta, can you tell us anything about Very Rusty?"

"Fukui-san, he seems to be just walking around bothering the other chefs in Kitchen Stadium. It's possible he has a five-course meal already laid out, but I really don't know."
