I still don't get it.

What are the differences between the bowls and how do the overs work? And what exactly am I trying to do.

I see, you don't have any knowledge of cricket at all, okay. Fast bowlers obviously bowl quickly, out-swingers bowl so that the ball moves from left to right in the air and orthodox spinners bowl so that the ball turns from right to left when it bounces. The object is to hit the ball out of the ground as much as possible and not get caught, bowled etc. There are six bowls from each bowler. That's pretty much it. You should be warned what type of bowling to expect at the start of each over.

There are basically only three variables:
Where the ball pitches (hits the ground).
Timing
Shot selection.
Also spinners change direction after bouncing (orthodox goes right to left, leg spin goes left to right).

Fast bowlers seem to bowl slow balls occasionally which get me every time because my timing is out.

This game is my nemisis.

I am determined to prove that it isn't rigged so that you lose your opening batsmen in the first over (every s*dding time I've played)

So far my best score is 124 all out. It is doing my head in. Big style.
I need a shrink.....oh yeah, I've already got one to cure my RHP addiction.

EDIT: Why are you out when the fielder has obviously fumbled it???

140 - 3 as Australia. Struggling to play against the orthodox spin and the medium pace, got the quick bowlers sussed now (am usually on about 80 after 4 overs).

Edit - I have had more success in the tournament and world challenge games, but prefer the quick 10- over slog.

207 for 6 despite a crazy middle order collapse of 3 ducks in a row.
