What do all you fellow chess players think about an automatic time-out system for tournament games. It can also be extended as an option for personal settings for non-tournament games.

My suggestion: All games with 7 days or less to move should get a system driven auto time-out after 24 hours and 48 hours for games above 7 days. This takes the personal choice away from players and provides consistency.

For tournaments I suggest that the Holiday setting should be an option, to be agreed by both players before the start of the game, or as a tournament variable.

This is already implented!

The rules for all tournaments are that after 48 hours, the games will be timed out automaticly!

Hi. I think that the auto system should replace the option to manually time someone out - this manual time-out still exist at the moment.

What makes you think that it should be removed?

The idea of set auto time-outs brings consistence and clarity, and takes away the "personal" element.
