I think it's time to have another stew-pid thread in the forum...

I think we should get a pet for RHP forums. This guy/girl can pop up on the forum screen, and we should be able to select it as a avatar.

It can be any animal, but we must vote on a favourite one. Russ/Chrismo/any other mods who wanna put time into it can tally votes, and post semi-finals, finals, and a overall winner.

There's a cool article in next month's National Geographic about honey badgers. Those things are pretty badass. Yeah, I think RHP's Forum Pet should be a honey badger.

Russ is cool, and so is his cow, but it's not as truly badass as a honey badger.

I thought it was a bull myself. I think our pet should be the seahorse, the animal that looks most like a chess piece.

Well, then the Staunton set should be modified to accomodate honey badgers. We could have cows, seahorses or BHBs depending on what color the day is.

I've never heard of a honey badger before.

I think if we have a pet it should be one of the following:

1. A giant squid (8 arms representing the 8 squares of the board...well, one side anyways).

2. A photo of Mike Tyson's arse (that's really bad-ass)

3. A human face (only animal that actually plays chess)

4. an owl (very wise birds)

5. A nude photo of Cameron Diaz. (I always want nude photos of her though).

Now we can go somewhere with that one. But should it be a pedigree human, or some kind of hybrid? For instance, we could have a cross between a human and a Smiley.

Drop Bears are an Aussie thing, I think...the Bundaberg Rum bear ad comes to mind for me.
