Thanks, but there are many stronger players than me here.

Time spent on a move depends on the game in question. As a general rule it is good to find a move, and then come back later to find a better one.
So that's where I've been going wrong!

I see a good move and make it. Then go, shoot! I could've made a better one.

As my wife's first language isn't English, she is allowed to check words in the dictionary before playing them. (For the sake of equity).
Is her native language compatible to our English letters?
If so she could use her words and you use yours.
It would be interesting to see the results 🤔

You couldn't challenge anything lol unless you know her language.
