True. The rate increase will apply to new subscribers and also to existing subscribers
who do not use recurring billing, such as a credit card.

Any news as to why the membership here at RHP is taking a sudden jump? 200% the original price to 2009!

Is the global economy killing chess sites too?
Russ has been buying parking spaces in London 😛

Or if you have changed your credit card, or it was paid by another person's card.

I must admit it surprises me. The site will be earning more money in this climate as the exchange rate from US dollars to UK Sterling is favorable to the UK at the moment (well, better than i have ever seen it, put it that way...)
No it isn't. It's down to £1 - $1.44 at the minute. When I last came home to England in April I paid $2 for every £ I bought. That's a decrease of more than 25% in less than a year. Will definitely hurt RHP since they get their money in dollars and have to convert to pounds.

As far as I understand, that should still work as long as you change your credit card information in time. The last time I tried to change my information it didn't work though, so I had to resubscribe after losing my star. I hope this problem is or will be fixed because I just got a new card again...

i think the price is still too low, you flash subs can obviously afford it,
especially those paying in foreign currency (not sterling)
