It's rugby season baby!
Test matches all over the place, Tri nations and the World cup in a few months.

Well done Autralia *grinding teeth* on beating Ireland 45-16.
South Africa is playing against Scotland this afternoon.

Great game, the Boks were lucky to come away with a win.

SA only just beat the Scots by 29-25 in a nailbiter at the end.
*sigh of relief*

I wouldn't say a great game, but hey, SA rugby has had a bit of a slump these last few years.
A win is a win, for me at least.

Go the wallabies, the luck of the irish wasn't enough tonight.

As it happens my league team won too, so I'm rather happy.

Any team will need more than just luck to beat the Aussies, if they play the way they played the second half...

I havent read the Sunday papers yet,but I was less than impressed with the Springboks yesterday. They can thank their lucky stars they werent playing the Aussies yesterday. The score might have been 80-6 or something.Just compare Ireland's performance to Scotland's in the 6 nations.November suddenly seem very close indeed...

Unfortunately i was at a 21st so we only managed to get score updates. The blown out score realluy surprised me though.

Well, late last year the Scots beat us 21-6, this year we beat them, so it's an improvement.
Just give these players a while to play together. They WILL gel. Louis Koen will pass the ball next time when he gets close to the tryline next time, intead of chip kicking the ball, because he'll know the flanker will be on his outside...
Sure the Aussies are a more rounded team than Scotland or Ireland, but since the inception of the 6 Nations tournament these teams have been playing much better rugby.

I don't think the boks would have lost against the wallabies, or at least not gotten whipped, because the southern hemisphere sides play a very similar type of game.
Can't wait for the Tri-nations... then we'll see.
If the boks get whipped, I'll eat my keyboard.

They really woke up in the second half. Gregan played very well, just showing why he's rated the number one scrumhalf in the world. Latham also looks like he's on he's game again.

Do you think they gonna take the WC?

Personally no, the kiwis still have our number. I've been told the poms have it over us as well. Of course the home ground advantage might tip the scales slightly...

i think the Kiwi's will gives us a good game in the final but i think the aussies will win. The super 12 form is hard to convert into test match form, i think australia loses out in the super 12's because all our stars are spread out over the three teams. But i think the australian squad is far stronger than its parts, where as the Kiwi's are probably no stronger than there strongest super 12 team.

Already reckon you'll be in the final heh? Bit optimistic wouldn't you say...
About the Aussies being spread over 3 teams, I think you guys have a bit of an advantage there. The Aussies have 3 teams, SA 4 and the Kiwis 5, meaning the Wallabies have more guys in the national side who played together in the Super 12.

I reckon England is in for a long afternoon this coming Saturday. They will be a long way from Twickenham and I can not wait.New Zealand will beat them convincingly and then the Aussies will be waiting for them.

We always have to go to England at the end of a ong hard season. This time they will be playing fresh and hngry players.

Cant wait.....

Almost enough to make me feel sorry for the poms.
