Europe have now won it more than the US.

Maybe they should change it to Europe v Rest of the world considering the thrashing the yanks have had in the last 2 ;-)

thats like saying "italy, dont be too pleased about winning the world cup, brazil has won it more times than you"
and by the way, USA, you did just great in that tournament aswell

Au contraire, if our rugby team beats Italy, for example, would we gloat?

No, because we're either favourites historically. Never lost to them in competition.

We gloat, however, when we beat England 3 years in a row, like we have done over the last three years BECAUSE it's an achievement which goes against history. England have always been strong- so when we get them thrice in a row, we are pretty chuffed.

So permit us, Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales, Spain, Germany and Sweden some gloating for EUROPE now! And then again in two years... 😉
