It's terrible, Ponderable - she is hungry, freezing, abandoned, nobody buys her matches. I cry when I think about her. But I see what you mean.

The mother had to shoot the family dog, who had contracted rabies. very sad. I was a kid.



FYI Old Yeller was a yellow dog, yeller was western dialect
