if i look down on you, it's because you try to stop me from doing what i know isn't wrong. you haven't said anything that has made sense to me why it is wrong for me to pay respect.

the only logical reason would be the "name" that you have tried to give me. if that "name" you have given me was me then i would be wrong. it ain't my name!
Actually no one is preventing you from displaying your 'grief' however you feel is warranted. However what you don't have the right to do is attempt to make others feel guilty for not being as 'upset' as you so obviously are.

You continue right on wearing black for two weeks (do they let you wear black in prison?) and I'll continue on with my life in my normal manner. Only difference is I get to go outside and sit in the park if I want to.

Aye. Self flagellation they call it or summat. It is sad to read stories like this, but the way I see it is that, we will all suffer enough personal tragedy in our lives, without feeling some kind of grief for people we have never met. Of course, I get upset when I hear about someone dying young, but perhaps that is because it reminds me of my own mortalit ...[text shortened]... ear for your nearest and dearest. The rest do matter but, not enough to get all worked up about.
yes, don't get worked up about it. equally still though, don't make fun of it.
