I hate to make you even sadder, but there's no such word as doldrum, as in "an emotional doldrum."

It's doldrums -- a spell of listlessness or despondency. 🙁

Doldrum, may be 'obsolete', are you saying I can't use the word anymore?

from wiki:

"In colloquial usage, 'being in the doldrums' refers to being in a state of listlessness, despondency, inactivity, stagnation, or a slump."

Doldrum is archaic and hasn't been used in centuries, until you came along. It's defined as
"a sluggish and slow-witted person," according to answers.com.

You're on your own, pal. No one's going to back you up.

P.S.: Nice job on the song.

I've thought about it, and I don't like "Maybe you're in the emotional doldrums".

Since no one uses the word anymore, I made a NEW MEANING!~

There is no such thin as a Violin Repairist either... But Noodles and him met and then they kissed!~

doldrum is also a phenomena found at sea where the air is eerily still, and sails become useless

You could drop "the" and go with "Maybe you're in emotional doldrums..."

Or, better yet, ignore Andy and use your poetic license. 🙂
