So I finally smartened up and signed up to XM satellite radio.
I stopped listening to regular radio years ago due to the un-ending commericials and absolute garbage bands shoved down our ears by stations owned by record label conglomerates...i'm lookin at you 102.1!!
But now, that's all over. 100 plus channels of crystal clear bliss. Whatever you like, you have your choice...just hit a button and you have it.
Plus, the receiver I got looks and functions just like an ipod and comes with a mini-sd slot so you can load as much of your own music from your computer and use it as in ipod-type device. And I can record songs from the sat. radio too!
If you were thinking of getting one, do yourself a favour and step up. You won't regret it if you are a music fan. I got the SKYFI3 receiver on sale for 20 bux! Comes with a car kit, home kit, and special headphones with the receiver built into them so you can take it hiking/jogging/walking etc.
Originally posted by uzlessI'm a huge fan of satellite radio. I mostly got it for Howard Stern at first, but the music stations are great. They play a lot of obscure (or non-mainstream) stuff that you'd never hear on regular radio. Plus, it's nice to be able to listen to all the NFL football games every Sunday.

I depends, I guess, if the shows are beamed to satellites in range of the UK. I doubt that the ones sitting over your place are accessible to Europe.
