The Tigers are 0-3. OK, so everybody knew they were going to stink, but this is turning out to be a nightmare. They have gotten only ten hits, and have scored only two runs in their three losses. Only ten hits and two walks in 27 innings. They're batting .120...AHHHHHH...120...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...120...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...Oh the horror!
Well, maybe the Red Wings will win the Stanley Cup again.
Too bad I'm not more of a hockey fan.

Originally posted by chaswrayRandall Simon was a decent player for the Tigers. He hits well, but he never draws any walks (only 13 all last year). The Tigers are trading quality for quantity right now. We got three players for Simon. We got three top prospects for Jeff Weaver. In a couple of years some of these guys are going to pan out. I hope.

I used to like the Pirates....but that was only because they had the greatest catcher ever: Tony Pena, add the ~ over the n. He was awesome....when he came to the Indians I was pumped because I live in Cleveland. What's even better is my late grandpa used to keep care of his car and knew the whole Pena family very well. My Aunt was his agent so I got to go to one of his B-Day parties to hang out with him. I played Baseball with his son and friends. I got his autograph, along with Jose Mesa's (crap), and Dave Winfield. I got lucky that my aunt is a sports agent. I have all kinds of autographs, Mario Lemieux, Bo Jackson( still the best athlete ever until his unfortunate hip accident), Manny Ramirez, and a bunch of other, less significant players. Well, that's a bit off topic, sorry guys.....

Originally posted by chaswrayYeah, the '68 World Series was a good one. I didn't start paying attention to baseball until I was in high school though. The '84 Tigers World Series victory was the one that I remember the best. That was the team I grew up watching. Players like Alan Trammell, Lou Whitaker, Kirk Gibson, Lance Parrish, etc. Actually, the first World Series I remember was in 1979, between Pittsburgh and Baltimore. I liked those old style hats the Pirates used to wear. Plus, I liked watching Kent Tekulve pitch. I've always liked submarine pitchers.
