So much for all the knowledge combined. Failed to pick the college game right and now the SB! Packers bent, but did not break. Steelers showed they belonged, but Vegas was right and Stee ...[text shortened]... ly wanted them to win and made all sorts of dubious calls gainst them Packers showed true grit!
NEVER bet against Vegas. That's just common sense.

Congrats!!

Ok Mr. Wizard. Let's take a closer look. Pittsburgh sucked as badly as you proclaim and Green Bay, staked to a 21-0 start early in the second quarter, had to hang on to win, and it was undecided until the final minute of the game.

Yep, no doubt they just put a whipping on the Steelers....NOT!!!!

It was a good game, but as far as your prediction capabilities where you had a 50-50 chance of being correct (one single game)...let's go back and look at your abilities in the college bowl picks....you finished next to last as I recall. And I started off 2-8 with you popping off, only to lose to me. So brag it up mullet!!

I don't personally like either team and I could care less who won. I did figure Pittsburgh would. I am most happy that I won the second quarter score in our office pool and won $500.00 for my efforts.

WEll good for you. You pick the meaningless games very well and the one sthat matter poorly! had there not been 8+ dropped passes the game would have never been as close at it seemd. Steelers never led. Not once. NO back and forth. Also, look at all the injuries. You don't think this was a gritty Packers win? For real? The score does not reflect what went on on the field. To still hold the Steelers back with a depleted secondary is nothing short of remarkable. My only regret is that ClayMatthews and Rodgers were not picked co-MVP's! I knew you would not extend congrats because you are a sore losser indeed. 50-50 chance, eh? You gave the Packers no chance. I consistently picked them throughout the playoffs. What was your playoff pick record? I picked three games wrong! The big one right. You, the big one wrong. SORE loser, or perhaps I should reverse the emphasis?

What are you rambling on about?? You can't grasp the facts placed in front of you.

If you want to talk injuries, let's do that. Pittsburgh lost their All Pro center for the game and started a guy who had ZERO career starts for the SUPER BOWL. I guess that is nothing major though...right? They lost Flozelle Adams in the first quarter from their Offensive Line. Even Big Ben was playing on a bad knee. No biggie though. Troy P was also not playing at full speed. No excuses, just stuff they had to deal with from several critical positions.

The game started 21-0, was 21-10 at half and ended 31-25. What that means is that from midway in the second quarter until the end of the game, Green Bay was outscored 25-10. I would say the game was fairly even.

As far as dropped passes, they were there on both sides.

I didn't take anything away from Green Bay. I also don't know why you fabricate the crap you do about me saying that Green Bay had no chance. You are an outright liar. In fact, if you would ever listen, I have always stated that in a single game, any team has a chance to win...some smaller than others. I said, based on my analysis, that Pittsburgh had the the experience and the defense to shut Green Bay down. Now, if your fantasies make that out to be an absolute degradation against Green Bay, then I would request your therapist up the dosage of your meds because they aren't working.

If you want to get into my face, grab a ladder and bring your A game, not the crap you usually bring. Have a nice day!!

Unable to face the music? I'm sure it pains you greatly to be the all knowing sports guy you think you are and get outpicked two years in a row. You place yourself up as an all knowing eye in the sky guy about sports and it turns out those you call stupid contantly out analyze you. You really think the game was close? Score is all you look at you simple minded dolt? Look at the boxscore. Most teams playing catch up accumulate lots of yards. Just how many times did Steelers lead? Just what happened on the drives when the Steelers could have gone ahead? Steelers would have had no chance with the multuiple drops not being dropped and middle of the game injuries the Packers had. And oh, yeah, Steelers really faced adversity during the game? All those injuries. INdeed! Sanders, that was it! I always said losing Pouncy might prove big, but it didn't. Steelers rushed for over 100 yards and allowed one measly sack.

You are a real piece of work. You take stupidity to the highest level.

First of all, have you ever seen a team win a game that was dominated in the stats?
DUH you dolt.

Second of all, last year I won the pick war and this year I finished tied for second.
You were busy licking an octopus and watching who a 6 year old chose.
Duh you dolt.

Third, no one, especially me, ever said that predicting the outcome of anything was a perfect science.
You weigh several factors and make educated guesses.
You must flip a coin or something.

Where was the Green bay running game? Pittsburgh overran Green bay as I recall.
Weren't you the one mouthing off about how great Starks was?? Mendenhall only rushed for 63 yards, which is hardly a crime, considering he also scored a touchdown. What did Pittsburgh in was losing 3 turnovers that all lead to touchdowns.

Green bay won the game....barely. You are great...you guessed Green Bay would win.
Is that what you want? Jeez, every now and then even a blind squirrel finds an acorn!

Last, yes, I played football, basketball and baseball and excelled at all three.
I played baseball in college for a national powerhouse, as you well know.
Now, all that means is that I probably understand the games on a different level that you do.
The perspective of those who have done it, versus those who think or wish they could do it.
Does that make me a better prognosticator? Hell no. It maybe gives me some insight.
Newsflash....players play the game, prognosticators never know what the outcome will be, until it is over.

Now, if you really want to test your mettle, here is an offer you should accept.

I am considerably older than you are, but I will bet you, in cold hard cash, that I can still blow a fastball past you.
I will bet I can buckle your knees with a curveball.
I will bet I can saw a bat off in your hands with a slider.
I will bet I can make you eat dirt in the batter's box.
Then you can see how you really measure up in the game.
