@maxstirnersghost2 saidThis guy's a regular, Courtney Abrams and Courtney Abrams 2 got up to the same tricks. Time we started having to prove our identity to join the site, or would that be overkill? Chess players aren't generally stupid.
There's someone going by the username Courtney Abrams 3 trying to scam people out of money under the pretense of investing in cryptocurrency. This person clearly doesn't know how to play chess and after randomly challenging me, immediately started trying to get me to invest in crypto.
@maxstirnersghost2 saidBy using a familiar name, consistently, we know exactly who we can speak to about investing in crypto.
Ah ok. You'd think they'd try to use a different name if they were caught before.

@maxstirnersghost2 saidThis is clearly a violation of TOS. PM Russ about it.

@maxstirnersghost2 saidCourtney Abrahams 3 is rated in the 700s and you’re in the 1500s. Maybe you accepting the challenge was an indication to them that you’re open to being scammed.

"Clearly"? Only if it is demonstrably a scam. Otherwise, it is merely someone exercising their freedom of speech. MaxStirnersGhost2 has every right to ignore the chat and/or quit the game.
This is clearly a scammer and somebody clearly violating the terms of service. To view it as merely someone exercising their freedom of speech merely highlights your own naivety.
@divegeester saidGo on then, talk us through your sage logic. How is accepting a challenge from a lower rated player an indication to them that the person is open to being scammed?
