Your memory of how old you were when you first saw those films amazes me. Those ages couldn’t have been when the films first came out…right?πŸ€”πŸ˜‰

Of course not, I would have to be a time traveller.

Those were the approximate, the close as I can remember age I was when I first viewed them.

Thought so but as you are a traveller I had to ask.

A tense film for sure, but to be honest I wouldn’t have guessed that would be on anyone’s list.

The first Jurassic Park movie. Though my mind told me it was just a movie, my instincts gave me a very different message. I hadn't been that scared in a long time. 😳

Your immunity to the scariness of Play Misty For Me needs to be mentioned on the Subtle Signs of Toughness thread, methinks.

jaws
i saw it several years after its release
backstory - i grew up on south padre island fishing and seining
hammerheads, nurse, tiger, lemon, and prolly a few other shark species were caught and released
if you let a shark lie on the beach for ten minutes, it took all the spunk right outta them and we'd play with them in the shallow water
a shark's skin is abrasive as all heckfire
i was never scared of a shark

until i was twenty five
that film has stayed with me since

damn you steven spielberg

Finding Nemo. What an emotional rollercoaster, scared the life out of me, what relief at the end when he was reunited with his family.

@divegeester
I think the reason "Play Misty" got my vote is because there are real-life people out there who are just like that, so it has stuck in my mind.
