I doubt it would make most peoples' lists, but Blair Witch Project is still in my head whenever I find myself walking in the woods.

Michael Jackon's Thriller when I was 4.

I can't say I've been scared watching a film since I was a small child.

I agree. I think that only those with a strong anti-success bias (and there's a lot of them out there) would disagree.

I think The Exorcist is over hyped.

Edit - It's the Radiohead of horror movies.

None of you have seen anything until you watch KOLOBOS

This is the original Saw 2 and freaked me out when I watched it when I was 22. I was tempted to turn it off after 20 minutes.

If any of you are horror buffs out there you HAVE to watch this film

I'm coming from when I first saw it as a first run opening weekend flick at the theater. We weren't at all prepared for it. It had no real predecessor. We weren't at all forewarned....had no idea what it was about before seeing it.

It had the world waiting for their beds to start shaking.

For me, it's 2001: A Space Odyssey. The silence in that scene where HAL uses the pod to come after Frank Poole is chilling.
