What they left out of the story is even more interesting.

They had tried the experiment three times previously, with vodka. It seems that vodka has a very short half-life on a russian space mission.

a typical experiment for the masses...does anybody assume that gravity plays a role in extraction processes? What are the density differences we are talking about?
