@eladar saidYou should read Susianne's Link on him, he was tough in the real world too! One of the greatest actors of all time in my humble opinion, what have you contributed to the world?
He was rich, he was famous.
Not sure why his death gets special press and why he would be missed anymore than all the other people who have died.
He will be missed less than most, he will be present in his films should one choose to watch them.

@very-rusty saidNot at the age he died.

All I see is a rich guy who died while living in the Bahamas.
@eladar saidOk so he lived a good long life but gave much to the world in entertainment and was a tough guy in the real world too! You may even learn some new things about him if you read her link.
Not at the age he died.

@very-rusty saidHe is an entertainer. Nobody cares about tough guys who do good things.

Without the entertainment identity his death would have gone unnoticed just like most people.
@eladar saidBecause no one gives a crap about people dying of natural causes who they don’t know.

Connery was a movie legend, an icon of period cinema, Oscar winner, a pioneer of the Bond phenomena, handsome, charming, fit, authoritative, charismatic and as cool as...
You’re just a fat, bigoted, bitter underachiever.
Welcome back by the way.
@divegeester saidYou know Sean Connery?

@divegeester saidSo you have met him and socialized with him?
Yes, I just described him above.
Or are you saying you have never met him, but have seen him through media?

If you look up Page 17 of the Evening News from Thursday, September 16th, 1999, there is an article, by Claire Gardner, about Sean Connery sending his love to my Mother's eldest sister, Kitty, on her 90th birthday. Kitty was a good friend of Sean's mother.
Just saying.
@divegeester saidSo you know the public persona.
I know him as I’ve described above and I am very sad to hear of his passing.
I’m not sure what is so difficult for you to understand.
Face it, the rich and famous deserve no more recognition than the kid in some poverty stricken nation who dies of mal nutrition.
We should feel sorry for a rich guy who died while living in the Bahamas? He had a much more lavish life than most people living in the Western world.
