There are reasons why players set their settings low.Mine are set low because I'm winding down.Someone else might do it to stop newbies turning up with an engine tucked under their arm,others because they have plenty of games.But if two players wanted to play and they both had settings too low,they would never know the other was knocking on their door to see if they wanted to play.

Wow!! I never set mine that high. I do admit in the Map War of setting it at 300.

I have set mine to 9999 😀

If I ever got that many games I might win the MAP war but have a rating of 0

Thanks for the offer-- just wanted to let you (and anyone else who cares) know that I am holding off on any new games until I get my active games down to five or so, because my non-chess life has been rather demanding of my time and energy lately.
