For a couple years, I used to live in Parkdale at Queen and Dunn, a poor neighbourhood in the west end of downtown Toronto. Recently, a murder had taken place there and apparently a severed torso was found in a laneway ...[text shortened]... ears to be a severed torso! Yummy!
F**K, am I ever glad I moved out of that neighbourhood...

years ago and had previously booked this hotel which turned out
to be in a not so nice area of Toronto. I was walking down the
street and came across a police barricade where they said something
about this half severed body or something. That made my day.
We had our twin 14 year old boys with us and one of them said,
mom, this nice lady just asked me if I wanted to go....
We knew we better buggy out of there!

The first thing that sprung up in my mind was: "Jesus...that body could have been Darvlay!"
Not that I'd have cared or anything, you know. Just mentioning the way you think.

In some South African traditional cultures they practice what you First World people would probably consider in the realm of voodoo, witch doctors, etc. They call their magic "muti", and on the odd occasion severed body parts are found. People pay good money for these body parts which they then take to the "witch doctor" who cast the spell. It's freaking terrible. Even kids are getting hacked up and left for dead.
