Yes
I also wished Obama would have said he was planning on running the National Debt up ski high.

Our Great great grandkids will still be paying off this crapbasket.

Only the beginning. Clinton had an utter disdain for our military. This time, plans are already in motion to emasculate if not dismantle it.

Recession will morph into hyper-inflation because of monetary policy. Criminality will increase. Racial tensions will exceed those of the 60's.

The 'Bubba Effect' will gradually kick in. Local community militias will form as clusters of families band together. Exciting time to be alive.

The most disappointing is that the whole world watched in on this one. There was an air of expectancy and difference.

The build up elections, and of candidates' runs, is almost like a soccer world cup. The hype builds, and expectations rise. We get to the final and now again it's such a let down. Another boring old game the same as most cup finals on the world stage. It's only the odd cup final in history that is remarkable.

I think in this game Obama will need a good referee and extra linesmen, all on his side!

The large companies are ultimately to blame for all this, they out sourced work and processes to foreign countries and sent the money with it.

If you don't look after your unskilled labour, there is nothing to keep you up.

People like you should be forced to return your wages and bonuses Bob, you messed up (I gather from previous posts you were a high flying decision maker?).

This is what happens when you do a job on the cheap, it usually turns out rotten, I know accountants like to use the phrase "cost effective", which sends share and stake holders into salivation overload, but you skimped on a very important part of the overall process.

Edit: My cup is always half full, and I will always offer a place in my lifeboat.
😉

clinton may or may not have had disdain for the military. The fact that he downsized it has nothing to do with how he felt about it. He was following the advice and plan laid out by the previous administrations Secretary of defense. who was that?....hmmm....oh yeah I remeber now..Dick Cheney. Yes that's right boys and girls, it was Dick Cheney's bright idea to reduce the size of the military. Still want to blame Clinton? As I remember it, Clinton left office with a budget surpus...what happened to that?
All of this crap happening to our economy and country gets laid squarley on the shoulders of one Goerge W. Bush the ex-chimp-in-chief. I do agree however that companies with their hands out is simply corporate welfare. In a free market economy we have to be willing to let business' fail. Kinseyian economics tells us we should be deficit spending on infrastructure projects, not corporate bailouts.

Well it matters not whom we blame except the US Congress and the Senate. They set the policies and the tone and course of this country. We no longer have a free market economy but the US of France. It wont be if it will be when we get out of the Middle East we are not going back. This will allow Russia a free meal ticket to grap the space left in the vacuum. America will no longer be the economic superpower soon. We have crippled our reputation as well as our economy by simple greed. So batten the hatches Popeye it is going to be a thrilling ride!

give me a break.

While it sucks that taxpayer money is being used to prop AIG up, the alternative is FAR FAR worse. Find out what happens if AIG goes bankrupt, then come back here and apologize for your misguided rant.

It's sad that so many people in this world have a voice but have nothing intelligent to say

Um, this recession and financial crisis has nothing to do with companies not looking after their unskilled workers.

It has everything to do with government polcies, de-regulation, non regulation, and corporate mismanagment by financially SKILLED workers.

What I like is that BHMO and the rest of the elite midless lawyers that comprise Congress tell us to tighten our belts, find ways to trim our budgets and etc and then turn around and vote a bill into existence that is so pork laden that it is lurid in it's weight! Leave it to government to be so looking out for our welfare and not their own, how generous of spirit and forethought! Suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of Congress. But then I repeat myself.
