Just stay in your own little world. After all, you seem to think it's important.

Hahahahahaha!
Please help us reminding this when your great polluting nation has done enough polluting in the next hundred years to prevent a stop on global environmental problems. Thank you, great good-doing nation!

Aluminum/aluminium - It depends on how you pronounce it. The two spellings reflect two different pronunciations. I suppose I prefer the American spelling as it has one less letter and one less syllable.

What about the pronunciation of Oregano? The way I pronounce it is Oh-RAY-geh-no. How else is it pronounced?
IUPAC goes with sulfur and aluminium for these two elements as an international standard.

Teaching requirements over here say we should use the sulfur variant when we refer to that one, but sulphur will not be penalised if used in an exam. Not too surprisingly, almost everyone I've encountered teaching (as well as myself), uses sulphur.

But how is this done elsewhere?

I wasn't talking about pollution, and I was joking. Wasn't trying to start another war, which you would lose that one too

Nice to see I'm getting some people on my side, thought I was going at this one alone. I hope you know this means war! ðŸ˜
