He said he felt good and didn't feel any pain when he threw out of the bullpen with that fancy hightop shoe they outfitted him with. If he can go, he absolutely will. He has shut the Yankees down in the World Series before, I think he'll do it again.

I tell you, what scares me is that the Red Sox pitcher coaches and the Manager in general, have a scary history of letting the pitcher himself decide if he should STAY IN THE GAME.

I think they should let Curt start, yes. But I think he needs to be watched, and I think that no matter what HE says, if he's not doing so great - pull him quick.

Oh, and yes, I'm invoking the God of Arsenel 1989 to help us!

Go Red Sox!

I offer my (secular) prayers as a New Englander to the Red Sox. If they win the next two games, I'll have EDG bake cookies for the entire site!

What are the odds that Francona would pull Schilling if he said, "Skip, I'm fine. I'll get this guy." ?
I can't picture Francona giving his ace the hook.

I love the Red Sox, and I live in Cleveland. Tim Wakefield is clearly the man. Anyone who throws the knucks is on my top ten coolest people list.

I guess Terri would be wise to ask himself what got Grady fired?!

He could pitch everyday, but would his ball dance???

I like him, when he's doing well.

Yeah, he does have his bad days.....but I think he could pitch quite a bit. You don't have to throw the googler very fast to get it to do it's thing. I like in the high 60's right?

Yeah, I think he throws it anywhere from 58 to 70ish.... and his fastball clocks in around 75?!

When he's on, he's on! He might throw some again this evening? I wouldn't be surprised! They say the rain will have cleared up for the game... so we'll know soon enough!

You Sox fans can thank the Pirates organisation for Mr. Wakefield and Mr. Arroyo:'(:'(

And, yes Schilling has to go tonight. Shall I start with the cliches? "There is no tomorrow"

Charlie

There is also nobody else available, as they've used all their other possible starters in the last two days' marathons. Schilling won't make 5 tonight; Lieber's practically unbeatable at the House That Ruth Built and so the travesty ends tonight! Congratulations to the Sox for winning two terrific games; I've even decided to promote them from "pathetic losers" to the more respectable category of "losers"!

And Yankee fans can thank the Pirates organisation for Mr. Lieber. One of Cam Bonifay's worst moves Lieber to the Cubs for Brant Brown...who the heck is Brant Brown?
