I'm pretty sure I tore my rotator cuff and was wondering if anyone on here has had a similar injury.
If so, what was the fix and how long was the heal?

[Before you ask: no, I am not trying to get out of any fights. I'll take any of you on one-handed if I have to.]

    DEpends how old you are.
I had mine repaired April 2014
3 months permanently in sling/support (sleeping very awkward - get drugs!)
3 months 50/50 in/out of sling and light physio (have to sleep in sling)
    6 months physio & exercise.
2 years later I have not recovered strength or mobility (buy a back scratch!)

    Hope that helps.
btw: the Earth IS NOT FLAT 😀

Incidently "rotator cuff" is a term given to the whole complex - not an actual body part.

    52.
Been hurting for about two years, but even just playing basketball it's getting worse.
    As in, hard to sleep.
That sucks you didn't get your strength and mobility back.
I'm putting it off because I hate the idea of long rehab.

    Thanks for the insight.

BTW: one area of chem/contrails above Cleveland spelled out FLAI EARTH today.
    Not sure what they meant...

Well I know it's a reference to your threats-of-violence-on-the-internet. That much I do know. But you actually - literally - imagine there being "fights" in which you are involved?

Just out of curiosity, you wouldn't happen to consist of quark-gluon plasma, by chance would you?

I had a rotator cuff problem several years ago. It wasn't torn but was very painful and I had a very limited range of motion. I went to the doctor and he gave me a serious cortozone shot and sent me to physical therapy. After a couple months of therapy and ultrasound heat treatments I was almost good as new again and have not had any further problems. That was probably about 12 years ago.

So the moral of the story is go see the doctor sooner rather than later. Maybe you will get lucky and avoid surgery.

He's trying to get some medical advice without having to pay for it.

Now if I could only get my hands on a time machine...

Pretty sure I'm beyond the usual first phase of treatment, though: this thing wakes me up even after a few scotch's.
