I'm getting really bored with the same old meals every day. I am a real lazy cook (looking after kids all day wears me out) and looking for new but easy meals to try. (I'm cook book retard) I'm on a real fixed income so fancy smansy stuff just won't do. Have done spaggetti, chili, tuna caserole to death. Anyone have any quick, but edible, ideas I would love to hear them. Just nothing "green" or my kids won't touch it! ....lol...Please help!!!!!

Another good dish is to wrap a tenderloin up in gently fried bacon and bake it in the oven until it's medium-well. Serve sliced with a sweetened glaze.
Sh-t, I'm hungry.
It sound more like a disipline problem with your children.
I have one child who will eat green veggies, green salad, ect. and one who wont. The one who wont eat her greens or fish and other more grown up foods gets a bowl of plain cereal(no kiddie cereal) for dinner and no dessert. This went on for quite some time until my 7 year old convinced the 11 year old girl to try and eat more stuff. She wont touch
fish still but she eats plenty of green stuff and gets to have dessert now too.
Now on to menu suggestions.
Meatloaf is good with kids usually.
Rice dishes, pilafs, easy low maintenance and cost.
Grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup on rainy summer days.
whats a pilaf???
Use lots of rice when cooking, I love stirfries and stews. Kids eat KD. Lots of KD!
Prob is a disipline prob. but can't stand watching kids dry heave at the table. I won't be forced to eat something I don't like....so I give the same consideration. When I was a kid I wouldn't eat half of the stuff I love today. Figure I'll just wait it out.
I just hate having to spend a long time preparing a half decent meal. It's always the same few dishes over and over. Would like to experiment with new dishes. but EASY dishes. Some of those recipe books make my head spin.
Sounds like some good ideas but need more details.....Keep em coming.

Feel like the worlds biggest cooking dummy! lol
Is it kid friendly?
