God, I'm hungry now...

When I sometimes make this for weekend brunch, my wife usually "isn't hungry..."
Same goes when I try to make for football afternoon my (still) most hated recipe: Rice, two fried eggs on top, bath of ketchup, then mix all, then woman leaves the flat for a walk.

I had my first fish tacos this weekend. Ate at an awesome restaurant, but had so many appetizers that I had plenty of leftovers to take home. We started with:

APPETIZER SAMPLER PLATTER
Old Pueblo Grille Coconut Shrimp, Rattlesnake Eggs
Blue Corn Calamari and Flame Grilled Chicken Quesadilla

after which I had the combination platter: Green Corn Tamale, San Carlos Dorado Fish Taco, and Green Chile Macaroni and Cheese.

I expected the fish taco to be taco-y, but it wasn't. It was a decent hunk of fish, and there were black beans and a bunch of other things that I don't usually find in tacos.

Yuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

If that doesn't work, there's always the sunday roast down at the pub.

Here is a nice peanut butter candy:
Take peanut butter, crunchy or smooth as you like. 1 cup.
add about 1/2 cup honey, mix well. The texture ends up like a maybe an almond joy, it should not be sticky, just form into rolls the size of chinese egg rolls and eat!

Old Pueblo Grille

... and I thought I'd leave the rattlesnake eggs part sit there a while before posting this bit:

**RATTLESNAKE EGGS
Bacon wrapped jalapenos stuffed with smoked shrimp
and cream cheese

I know. But for a few hours there, it was a great concept...
