my mum's birthday turned out to be easier than i though (although you guys helped quite a bit). however, i now have an equally large dilemma of my sisters birthday. what do you get a 13-turning-14 year old girl for her birthday? she used to like busted, but then they broke up... for christmas i got her the "son of dork", and for her 13th i got her "the princess bride", which she loved.

she said she wants the "paris hilton" perfume or the "jordan" perfume. i said no chance! also, my budget is only about £15...

any ideas?

Not if it's only a £15 one.

I'd hope she wouldn't know the difference yet.

Must be nice not to be accountable for any of your statements and actions.

i thought about that for her christmas, but my mum advised against it for some reason. i don't think she's quite got the patience to learn to use one... (although i'm not sure about that 😛)

A white dress so she matches the rest of the kitchen appliances.

Why don't you bury your head in a basic grammar and spelling text book?

If she's non-techie you can get her some blank books for journals and fancy gel pens and such. Or a wooden box that locks. It's a privacy age.
