I never knew this site had ads until I logged on using my other computer. For some reason they don't show up when I use this one 🙂 Has anyone else had this same "problem"?

Perhaps your regular computer has pop-up blocking software on it.
If you subscribe, the ads disappear forever.
Oh, and you get a shiny yellow star next to your name.
