I really think you should be discussing this in private.
It's not fair on the person in question.
Thanks.

Hi Skeeter,
I have a question for you:
I noticed you timed out seadevil 3 times, all 3 games were in 7 day timeout-games.
Seadevil's profile states I am on holiday with my family until 27th April, as does his vacation setting. I assume he noticed you about his vacation in your games as well (as he did in my games).
Furthermore I noticed in our games y ...[text shortened]... as I described it?

In my opinion there are 2 parties to blame for the argument over Seadevil's defeats
1. The site - If all games were timed out automatically, immediately when the time limit was not met - this would stop silly accusations like those against Skeeter
2. If Seadevil loses on time, HE is to blame
As far as point 1 goes, I know how hard Russ/Chris work on this site, they are as close to perfect as we are going to get.
As far as point 2 goes, Tough Luck Seadevil, you lost fair and square under the rules you agreed to play by
Chess already has a (deserved?) reputation of being played exclusively by geeky teenage boys or boring middle aged men, most of whom are gay, in love with their mother, or both. Maybe it's about time we started to accept that women are at least our equals and Skeeter is near the top of the pecking order because she is blooming good, I have taken many a whipping from ladies and keep coming -back for more, I would suggest that any of you who resent a lady being a better chess player should take a magnifying glass with you next time you visit the "gents" (one at a time please lads)
I fully support every female on this site (especially my true love) and would ask (In a non-sexist way of course) all the ladies who support their RHP Liberation to burn their bras and keep abreast of future developments. If you need a hand . . . . . . . . . . . .

She'll be the first one to accuse others of cheating, being too dumb to play, opponents not "respecting" her, the list goes on...and on...and on. If the tables were turned and Quirine was the one acting in this manner she would be the first to post about it and in not nearly nice a way that Quirine brought the games to light.

selective memory - now i know you are a lady,
what about the main point of my post??
Seadevil loses on time - he/she is to blame . . do you agree?
If you agree, then the whole thread is, as i believe, a waste of viewing time and just personal against Skeeter. Tat for Tit (sic)
If you disagree that a player is responsible for their own time keeping, then with due respect you have no idea what competitive chess is about.
I don't know Skeeter from Adam, she may be a witch, but I doubt it. What I do know is ducking stools should be left for dodgy pubs, we are meant to be a community for crying out loud
Respect

I am happy to wait for as long as required in normal games but tournament games even if i am losing on the board i will not think twice about claiming a timeout the second it is avaliable.
that is my thoughts.

Seadevil went on vacation and asked all his opponents very kindly to wait. He also put a very clear vacation message on... Skeeter knew that the auto time-outs wouldn't jump in because Seadevil is coming home again today, so she didn't even wait for them.
I wonder how somebody can be so desperate for some points? OK, I've been like that too, dfm will be probably be able to tell something about that, but she does it every time, no matter what other people say, do or ask.
Chess wouldn't be OK without time forced moves, but the way Skeeter uses it, is just wrong and should not be tolerated...

All this debate. It seems like we see similar subjects over and over. When playing OTB, ever have someone slam thier pieces down? slam the clock? walk around looking at other games while their clock ticks away? mark that they won on their notation sheet on move 5? Sure you have. These are all "unethical distractions", perfectly legal and part of the game. These have been recognized and accepted by OTB players. They piss people, like they're intended to, and there is nothing you can do. I think what we are seeing here is the online version of "unethical distractions". It frustrates me too, but I think all we can really do is the same thing we do OTB, accept it, not get distracted by it, and try to win. It's not how I play, but if others want to utilize these tactics, it's thier ethics they are comprimising and I'm not to sink to that level over some imaginary internet points.
