Welcome folks! 🙂
Most of the time, this will be more of a 'how not to do it' cooking class.
Today,I tried to make 'eggs, sunny side up':
-I took out a pan and butter
-I put the pan on stove(cooker,cooking-range,or whatever it's called)
-turned on the stove, buttered the inside of the pan
-took 2 eggs out of the fridge
-hit 1 egg on the side of the pan,yet not hard enough so I broke it open with my hands. That resulted in 1 messed up egg yolk
-hit 2nd egg on pin, yet, this time, too hard. That resulted in another messed up egg yolk and some eggwhite spilled on the stove
-on top of that, the spilled eggwhite turned off the stove(electrical stove with sensor buttons, very sofisticated, but sucks to work with)
-turned stove back on and proceeded baking the eggs(or what's left of them)
-added a touch of nutmeg
-took pan of stove, and attempted to slide the eggs into my plate
-failed at that, and had a heap of messed up eggs on my plate
-consumed the eggs with 4 slices of rye bread and coffee with a touch of milk
-leave kitchen in a total mess,no time to clean up because I have a cooking class to attend

Tasted remarkably good, all things considered 😉

PS: I will be out of the house before my mom wakes up in the morning though 😉

For perfect sunny-side uppers, use medium-low heat.(2-3 on an electric) Pre-heat the pan and just before adding the eggs, add a smidge of olive oil (not butter), swirl to cover the bottom of the pan. Now, assuming you get the eggs in there in one piece, cook gently until the bottoms are set, then add a half-teaspoon of water and cover pan for a couple of minutes. The steam will set the tops.

wrt cracking an egg:

Try tapping it on its side on the counter- or tabletop (or any flat surface), then hold the cracked egg over the pan and pull the shell apart.

Then again, you could just practice cracking eggs one handed by banging it on the heads of everyone that felt you needed advice. 😛

I always just scramble the little bastards! No problems 😉

Never understood this sunny side up thing, an egg is an egg and should be served with a slightly runny yoke. That's all that matters. Scrambled is fine, as are omelettes and poached. But if you're frying, just leave it alone and wait until it's done. Easy.

Good evening folks.Today,we will attempt to make,WARM MILK.
This should not be too difficult, but you never know.Stay tuned!

Ok,we take a milk carton,and a cooking pot.
Put milk in pot, turn on stove, and WATCH THE MILK
It's very important to never take your eye of the milk!
After a little while, the milk will be sufficiently heated(it shows 'cause the milk will get all foamy and start to rise)
Take the pot off the stove, turn off the stove

There,we've done it.A great success!

Consume milk with some honey.Delicious!

Smakelijk! 🙂

Perhaps Sirlosealot can start a "cleaning" thread too ... after he is done eating/drinking of course.

-when the bread starts to look a little blackish, take pan of stove
