I'm not complaining here any more, I'm in the Announcements forum where I've managed to get a response from Russ. I'd like to see some statistics from their server logs, wouldn't you?

You still have the dodgy redhotporn issues to deal with though 😛

Shouldn't this thread be moved to the "ineffectual complaints" forum?

    Howdy Folks,

You could always search a bit deeper and do a traceroute test (if you want to get nerdy).

    http://www.mediacollege.com/internet/troubleshooter/traceroute.html

Do a trace to RHP on both the good times and bad and see where the slowest node is.

You might be surprised on where it is hanging and plus you have a bit more info for the future.

For instance, my slowest node is 156ms (add them all up and you get the average time), of course there are other factors that can slow you down once you have arrived at the site, but the above will help you waste 30 seconds of your life.
