I'm not saying I agree or not, but I was under the impression that while I was living in Italy they had brought a ban in here, I'm sure I heard it on the Italian news one time, yet people do still seem to be smoking in pubs here. If they respect the law in Italy of all places why not here? I understand that even in Ireland it's uncommon to see people smoking in pubs these days because the ban has been effective. What's the situation?

There's no smoke without fire.

There is a ban in Scotland, not the rest of the UK.

I'm sure it said England, I remember thinking it was good (for me). Oh well, I'm leaving again soon so what does it matter?

Reading now the BBC website they are talking about a ban for 2008. It'll happen, if they can do it in Italy it'll happen here too.

Kyrgyz, or Russian. Well no, it amazes some people but you can teach English without knowing the students' language. It's a matter of knowing how to use pictures, gestures and coursebooks etc etc effectively. But then I do speak some Russian so if I need it it's there.
