The seventh is also a very strong favourite of mine. I've heard it suggested that Beethoven's odd numbered symphonies are superior to his even numbered ones. Would anyone go along with that? I'm not awfully familiar with 1-4 to be honest, and while 5, 7, and 9 are rather superb, I wouldn't say 6 was tooooo bad!
