self, you've been spending way too much time on that computer. Your house is falling apart around you, need to get your act together.
self replies "What! But I have to check my games."
So I says " Not until you get this house cleaned up. Those floors need mopping, carpets need vacuumed, and some clean clothes would be nice too."
So self starts to rationalize..." Alright," says self, " We'll wash the floors, we'll vacuum the carpets and we'll do the laundry, AFTER we check on our games"
Trying to remain firm I says "SELF, I know what you're up to and it won't work! No computer until AFTER our chores are done. I'll even make you a fresh pot of coffee and cook you up a nice breakfast first. How does that sound."
"Alright, You've obvoiusly made up your mind on this one." self says with a sigh. " We'll do it your way I suppose."
Well wouldn't you know it that sneaky little self goes and turns on the computer while I was making coffee and preparing a nice breakfast.
Now self won't get off the computer and the house is a mess.....
so I says " Alright self, you've made your point, very funny, now finish up what you're doing and lets get something accomplished here today."
"No problem" comes the smug reply " Just as soon as I'm finished with this we'll do whatever you want. Why don't you go get the laundry started and bring me a cup of coffee."
Sigh
I can see exactly how this day is going to go, but no harm in starting the laundry before bringing self a coffee I suppose ......π

I do the same thing....if I don't have any games waiting, I'm going to bed....I check the forums, look at the player tables, check out a high rated players profile, then BAM! a game waiting...4 hours later....man I'm tired;I'm going to bed....1 game waiting...repeat

I'm glad to hear others are afflicted with this disorder because I was begining to think I needed therapy or something!
This has become a daily ritual, arguing with myself and never knowing whether I've won or lost the fight!
But I've learned things about myself I never knew....like how sneaky I can be when trying to get my own way....πππ
You certainly are not alone in this. I've always thought of myself as a fairly self-disciplined person, yet I seem to be unable to stop playing/surfing RHP. I do the "one more move" and "5 more minutes" bargaining with myself constantly.
Be warned however, that it could get even worse. Once you subscribe and get more games than you can handle, you might as well chain yourself to the computer. You'll never be able to leave it.
