I haven't had time to use either in quite a while, but when I did use them I used Fritz8 to analyize my losses (both here and OTB) and ChessMaster10 to have FUN!

With ChessMaster 10 you can set up a standard tournament with various personality profiles and put yourself in with them. It's more fun for you if you put a bunch of weak players in along with a couple of top players and play a Swiss system. Usually towards the last rounds you'll be playing against Fischer or Spassky! 😵

ChessMaster10 also has GREAT LESSONS! Fritz is boring and made for the professional player.

I could, but I won't.
It would be like using a laser-guided ball to improve my golf handicap.
My handicap, like my RHP rating, stinks.

They may not be master class but at least they are real and not plastic ratings.
