I've watched three games on TV and listened to two more on XM radio. Got all the right website shortcuts on my desktop. Looking forward to watching USA tomorrow. Love it! I think I am now a soccer fan. To paraphrase George and Ira Gershwin: How long has this been going on?

Tomorrow it's a very tough match against the Czech Republic. I'm also curious to see the level of the Italians with Luca Toni upfront.

Invented by the French !
The best thing of football is that statistics don't matter that much, so analysis of games ad teams tend to be very subjective. This means everyone has an opinion and that opinions are extremely diverse as to how the coach should play and who he should play.
Football punditry really reaches absurd proportions with weekly programs going on for hours and hours with just some guests discussing the beautiful game.
This is a very important and usually overlooked phenomenon about football.

Costa Rica and Brazil are both tied at 5 World Cup victories. However, this is disputed due to Costa Rica's use of robots in 1958.

Brazil has won it 5 times.

I guess I would have thought some country might have won more than five times but since it's only played once every four years I guess that means a 20-year span for Brazil, though I assume not 20 years in a row. Pele played for Brazil, right? I can remember when he was quite a star worldwide but never got interested in the game at the time.
Uruguay won it the first and second times.
