Let me explain why. I felt that to offer a political commentary right after this shooting was insensitive. He made the point that these kinds of bad things happen when God is taken out of the schools. How would one of these Amish parents feel about hearing that kind of thinking?

I felt that this parent missed an opportunity to talk about how this very public kind of tragedy effected him on a personal level for the rest of his life.
Not to question the thoughts of the good reverend, but surely the family member or the Columbine massacre wasn't talking about the Amish school, when he was talking about God being taken out of schools. Surely he meant the school of the perpatrator of the crime, that his school life was lacking God. I do however, agree that seeking an interview of that nature in the first place was quite cold and heartless.

On a side note, i don't think it is likely that the Amish would see that interview, what with them having no TV and all.

Well why is this columbine parent out there giving advice, when surely he is partly to blame for what happened with his son?
