This is a cool video, and I'd appreciate a little more interest.
Thank you.
It was a cool video and I for one wonder what happened to the kid, if there was some benefit for him other than the recognition of the crowd that day.
That said, the bit with the signs was a result of Urban having invited other dudes onstage from the audience so they knew there was a good chance of Rob getting onstage.
Funny, that happened to me once.
At Godfrey Daniel's coffeehouse in Bethlehem Pa, a friend of mine, Mick Maloney, an Irish musician with a Phd in folklore was onstage and I was kind of thrumbing my fingers imitating playing guitar, Mick looked at me and said, it looks like you need to play some guitar, so he gave me one and I played and knew almost all the Irish tunes he played, he is a real Irish instrumental virtuoso. It was a bit of a thrill for me for sure, even though there was a tiny audience, maybe 50 folks total. Still it was a big deal for me. I knew the tunes because I had my own Irish band back in Venice Beach, called Southwind and we got some national TV gigs and lots of gigs around LA so I have had a tiny bid of that 15 minute of fame deal.
