You could cite this problem as a reason to have it changed.
How do I go about doing this?

You send feedback to the site administrators. Or perhaps ask a well-known influential moderator...Stop being a doos, by the way.

I'm too tired to read all the posts. What about having a meet up in the bigger cities first before having a national get together...

Fair play on the meet idea. I might got to the London one next year, our one had a piss poor turnout (due to teh date, and people just not turning up), but it was a gas 🙂

So far it looks to be scheduled for the 16th December - Hopefully this will be before everyone goes away on holiday etc.
We will try to organize it so that there is simultaneous meet-ups in Gauteng and the Mother City...

Since we started this thread there was a lot of positive feedback regarding a SA meet up.Up to now we planned to have 2 meet-up's, 1 in the mother city and one in Johannesburg. We have organised a 3rd, in Sedgefield.
So if any of you are in the vicinity of the garden Route for your December holidays, please join us on the 16th of December at the Forest Lodge in Sedgefield for some good chess, better laughs, and the best beer in the country. (we run on Mitchells) We will be there from 11:00 till we drop.
We hope that the Johannesbug and the Cape town people would organise simmilar meetings so that we can play a friendly tourney between the different regions.
For the Johannesburg meeting please contact Crowley. The Cape town people have not chosen a "captain" for their team yet, but if i may be so bold i would like to nominate Bosse de Nage. (if he's willing)
Let's hope that the Natalians can allso come up with something.

If any of you want directions to the Forest Lodge please contact me and i will send you a map.

OK. If any Capetonians want to meet up send me a PM. How about Bob's Bar in Long Street? We'd have to take our own chess boards but the atmosphere is conducive. Otherwise recommend somewhere else.

I'm not sure if many non-South Africans will get this, but I just had a good laugh:
