Remember kids, your virginity is something special, not to be given away lightly to the first grotesque puppet baddie you meet...
I remember watching those outrageous G I Joe cartoons. the one that sticks out in my mind is one where the indian is running through the forest, when a snake drops halfway down from a tree. The Indian, not missing a beat, punches the snake in the face. I have never laughed so hard in my life.

Legends of the Hiddle Temple. My kids watched that show relentlessly. With the Olmec head tha talked about relics from the past. It was educational as well as funny.

Ulysses was indeed very good, tis a shame I never saw the final episode. Did he ever get home?

My fanatical loyalty to MOTU derives largely from it being about the only animated children's series there was to watch in the culturally embargo'd South African 80's. Or rather, there was only one to watch at a time.

Then there was Robotech.

Ulysseee-eee-eees, no-one else can do the things you do.
Ulysseee-eee-eees, always fighting all the evil forces, bringing peace and justice to all.

I don't ever remember seeing the final episode either but he was a hero so I guess he did 😀

There were tons of tv shows when I was growing up... unfortunately dubbed into Afrikaans by the same small group of voice actors.

Like everyone else, I liked Maya the Bee, Heidi and Dawie die Kabouter (never knew his original Spanish name), but I got a special kick from those abstract Czech cartoons with their soothing music and geometric mice.

I just searched the internet for Brakenjan, the original show was called "Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds". How did they get from Dogtanian to Brakenjan?? Eish.

En daar was ook absoluut kak soos Doffel, Babbel en Bekkie, op Dinsdae en Donderdae was al die Afrikaans gemors. Ek haat Dinsdae en Donderdae nogsteeds, vir geen ander rede.
