I had to miss Springsteen's concert in Holland a few weeks ago. It's the first E-street band tour I've missed since 87 (or whenever the tunnel of love tour was).

He definately is well worth seeing live (even though I don't really like his music any more). He's da boss!

I'd rather wash my mouth out with caustic soda, exfoliate with an industrial sander and drink bleach for the evening.

I'm sure 'Springsteen's' great live..Would love to be there,

but,

at the end of the day. If it wasn't for Manfred Mann and his Earth Band recording a couple of his songs (Blinded By The Light and the less successful but far superior 'Spirits In The Night) and turning them into hits. he probably wouldn't be here now. And I doubt we would be talking about him either. Enjoy the 'gig'.

Thank heaven for small mercies, Springsteen's about as exciting to me as cutting my own genitals off with a rusty spoon.

Bruce Springsteen Live is the equivalent to watching Dr. Zhivago on television. It's over three hours long and by the end you're left completely exhausted and unsatisfied.

One would think that quite exciting... surely?

Manfred Mann's version of Blinded by the light is rubbish.
And nobody even knew it was a Springsteen song!

Born to run and The river contributed, if you ask me, more to Springsteen's career than Manfred bloody Mann.
Or Dancing in the dark... which is god awful (unless you see it played in the live-rock version).
