I am not familiar with Kazaa, but I have teenage children. It may be something that they use. They put all kinds of things on my computer. All I know is that I try to clean it up periodically with AdAware, McAffee Virus Scan, and Zone Alarm firewall. I recently downloaded this Spy-Bot and ran that, but I still have this Altnet registry key thing popping up in Adaware, and SpyBot finds it also, and says it can only fix it on with a restart...problem is, it doesn't fix it on the restart, just tells me that it will fix it on the restart AGAIN. A bit frustrating.

Try to google it mate. Just search for 'altnet removal'. Then follow the instructions. Some may seem unnecessarily complex though in a bid to persuade you to buy their product.

The 'Sledge hammer' method can cause unnecessary damge to other items in your house. please consider googling the 'open window and eject' method first. It has all the necessary info.

Kazaa is a file sharing network for music. You can go there and d/l your favorite music songs. 🙂

Of course businesses didn't like that, so they had the US courts shut Kazaa down. 🙁

But I guess the site is back up now and you can still d/l songs but you have to pay a charge for them.

Anyone please correct me if I'm mistaken cause this stuff changes weekly!
