fluke, luckiness, poor play from the opposition, and 2 or 3 REALLY crap penalties from the other team!

Damn! The better team certainly did not win today.
Milan did very little in the second half, and as such weren't the better team. Now if you want to talk about penalties resulting in injustices, then lets talk about the FA cup final a couple of weeks ago.

The win will be discounted becuase of the penalty shootout (like AC Milan's penalty shootout win in 2003, Arsenal's FA Cup win last week).

That's four wild guesses.

Try instead, resillience, determination and ambition.

But you have to admit that due to their overall performance, Milan was the better team. They completely outclassed Liverpool in the first half and gave them no posession. In the second half, Liverpool dominated for awhile and scored three goals. But after that, the teams were evenly matched for the rest of the half. And in overtime, Milan was clearly better, and came very close to scoring on multiple occasions.

In addition, I feel that Dudec's conduct during the penalties was unjust. Keepers are allowed to move side to side, but are not allowed to deliberately distract the shooter as he clearly was doing. As far as I know, break-dancing in the goal in no way improves your goalkeeping. And on one of the saves, he was at least a yard off his line when the ball was shot. The refs should have done something about this.

Err, it doesn't make it right but Dida performed similarly - perhaps to a worse extent - when Milan beat Juventus on penalties two years ago at Old Trafford. What goes around comes around...

But the ref didn't. The result stands. Get over it.
