I am sure by his own admission, GB likes to provoke thought and debate, and he likes to keep a disagreement going for the entertainment value. But my take is that it is for the fun of sparring, and the character assasination is rarely (if ever) initiated by him. I have yet to see him be overtly foul-mouthed or orchestrate tribal bullying campaigns. Some of his disparagers seem to crawl in the gutter in this regard.
I find the anti-GB brigade most distasteful at times. My view - one of many I accept.

As a reasonable fellow, would you be inclined to grant that character maturity, tolerance
of differences in style and an attitude of 'live and let live' may also play a small role?
