I don't know who they have played this past year, except
they just beat the Jets. The only reason I knew who that
they beat the Pats this year is because my wife made a

I was only playing, but that game was taken by the Pats 3 years ago and led to winning the Superbowl. Your wife has alot to cheer about though, the Steelers are VERY convincing.

I seem to recall that my wife was very disappointed
some years ago. Didn't they almost win the Superbowl
in the mid-90s?

For me not really, I believe they have a chance. They Play the Bangels this week so will see what happens there.
As far as the AFC Championship game, that is a tough one to call. Pats and Steelers will be the trendy pick but I'm not counting out the Colts or Ravens. Both are very good teams who could make it happen in the playoffs.
