Sticking with the teachers. We once had a math teacher who use to throw chalk and erasers at us. Didn't like it much when we started throwing them back at him. Always brings a smile to my face for some reason. Now the nuns in the 60's would pull and twist/pull on your ear, then give you a strapping. I remember once my buddy and I were getting a strapping ...[text shortened]... and she hit her self on the leg. I never laughed so hard in my life!!! Yup the good old days!!!
Yeah, the 60's definitely provided some memories that will stick for a lifetime. (And for some...maybe hallucinations.) 🙂

I refuse to discuss my school days. I'm stuck in the present.

Sticking to the present can prevent, learning from the past.

The past is past and I, for one, stick to "looking" straight ahead (the blinders help) to the future.

I think I will stick with your quote, with the exception of living for the now and not being concerned about the future as what will be, will be.

Stick those last 4 words to music and you may have the lyrics of a Doris Day song.

How much is that doggie in the window?

That sticks in my ancient crusty mind . . . .

Although Doris did sing Que Sera Sera I should have stuck the name of Patti Page in as the one who sang it first. 🙁

Agreed, Join me in killing it softly, in our own words, telling it to get off, on its own terms, killing it softly, with our lies.

And don't give me no Flack about it, either, I'm sticking to it now.

To properly kill any thread one has to stick in something that is covert..not overt.

I thought I would stick this in for Maiden Gertrude. 🙂

Que Sera Sera
Doris Day
When I was just a little girl
I asked my mother, what will I be
Will I be pretty
Will I be rich
Here's what she said to me
Que será, será
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see
Que será, será
What will be, will be
When I grew up and fell in love
I asked my sweetheart, what lies ahead
Will we have rainbows
Day after day
Here's what my sweetheart said
Que será, será
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see
Que será, será
What will be, will be
Now I have children of my own
They ask their mother, what will I be
Will I be handsome
Will I be rich
I tell them tenderly
Que será, será
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see
Que será, será
What will be, will be
Que será, será
Songwriters: Jay Livingston / Ray Evans
