I play "fantasy stocks" at this site:
http://www.wallstreetpros.com
In the Portfolio section, there is a column that reads "Profit" for that stock. What exactly does that mean? Is it
(Current value) - (Amount spent)?
If so, then the program would need to remember how much I paid for each share of each stock, which seems like a lot of stuff for the program to remember. I suspect that column uses a different formula. Can anyone tell me exactly how that column is calculated?

Originally posted by AThousandYoungi would assume that the formula you provided (value-cost) is probably correct, as this seems the only way it could be calculated. as for the thing of it being a lot to remember, this isnt the case really.....just think of all the information this website holds for each player etc. i could be wrong but this seems likely to be correct
