I can't trust those sites. I have no issues with testing on laboratory mice. Using kangaroo hide to make shoes is one thing, controlled toxicology tests on mice is something different. I wish these sites gave more information on the types of tests and animals that are actually used so I could decide if they are truly worthy of boycotting.
I think the animal testing of today is much easier than the testing in the old days. How else is it possible that all these animals, which are obviously just dumb lay abouts sponging off the state, are able to get better scores than they used to get. I tell you, the tests are just way too easy these days. Any stupid mammal can pass them.
I think it was a mistake to let them use calculators.

i think animal testing is cosmetics is a bit iffy. although i would rather one mouse die than my sister develop skin cancer.
animal testing for medical purposes i do not mind. if a few hundred rats die in creating a cure for skin cancer (that my sister now has, thanks to a bunch of hippies) then i would be happy.
my next door neighbour worked for a drug company that used animals to test drugs. he had to leave his job so as to keep his family safe, such were the threats. the odd stone through the window was not uncommon either...

The truth is that much of it is monstrous cruelty on a scale that would make your sister sick and throw her make up away.
